Staff couldn't have been more helpful, went out of their way to help. We had a cancelled flight and didn't arrive until 2am. Very understanding. Food was first class. Full English breakfast freshly prepared. The t-bone steak and rib-eye steak were cooked to perfection. The three tier mousse for dessert was delicious. Stunning old building.
Breakfast was delicious, as was the restaurant for lunch and dinner too! I highly recommend the chicken burger, Amazing! All staff were friendly, very easy access to the city with the team being a short walk away, Old Trafford FC was about a 15 minute walk. Very happy with the hotel.
Comfy bed, room clean , towels looked brand new , staff friendly and welcoming , hotel 10 minutes walk to the cricket ground with easy access to the tram station ,the hotel has car parking at a reasonable price.
It was a short taxi ride from the train station and accessible by tram and bus as well. Therefore the location was fantastic and very good value for money. Room and bathroom were modern and contained nice facilities. Staff was very helpful and obliging. Options at breakfast could have been better. Most were finished by the time we arrived, however their omelette was nice. Everything else was great, particularly being close to Man U stadium.
We were in Manchester for the Women's Euros at Old Trafford. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the stadium and a 2 minute walk to the Metrolink which takes you into the city from Trafford Bar in 10 minutes. the staff were helpful and friendly with 20% off food and drink for residents
The hotel has, so I learn, been refurbished in the last 1 2- 18 months. It is impressive from when you enter the building. The room was spacious, clean and well stocked with tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable and the shower / toilet roomy, clean and bright. The breakfast (buffet style) was good. 5 mins from Lancs Cricket club and Man Utd grounds.
I had to add a guest to the room with short notice and that was received professionally. Close driving proximity to most things to do as a tourist, beautiful buildings just not such beautiful surroundings. The room was the largest I've stayed in, the bed was huge and the TV had plenty of choices, and a fan in our room for comfort. We stayed two nights, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. They only have rooms with showers and we had plenty of towels and wash things already provided, and asked for some extra pillows and tea supplies which wasn't a problem. Good variety on breakfast buffet including hot food to serve self, scrambled eggs and hash browns being the highlights. Glamorous.
A hidden gem close to the centre of Manchester, and within cheering distance of the cricket ground. The staff were all absolutely lovely, all very helpful. Breakfast is excellent, and the building itself is nice. Be aware though - no step-free access that I could see.
